experimenting with new mediums is one of my favorite things to do. Recently, I bought a set of oil pastels from a local art store and decided to draw a turtle scene. Learning how the pastels fit in my hand and how they interacted with each other and the paper was exciting. With each stroke, my right brain got more fluent with the medium.
an artist should always be expanding skills and refining them. This is not only a great way to increase skill, but is the most effective way to find new hobbies you never knew were for you!
